The Sound Faction (dot com)

The Sound Faction is a project that my dear friend Manda and I started a few years ago.   We are both so involved (read: obsessed) with the music industry that we wanted  a way to spread our love of lesser known bands around to people we didn’t know.  We also wanted a way to help and support smaller bands with free promotion, advice and another channel to get their voice out there.

So The Sound Faction was born, a webzine that was run by Manda and I as a side project while we were in school.  It did all right for a bit but busy schedules and a lack of staff kept us back, so we dropped the project and with heavy hearts let it rest in peace.

That is until the idea was brought up again with Manda and a new group of friends who were eager to lend a helping hand and get The Sound Faction back on it’s feet with the kick in the butt it needed.   Three more staff members were brought on, Jen, Natty and Doctah J all friends of Manda and myself and we relaunched the website.

We never knew that it would grow into the site that its become now, we are blessed to have wonderful reps, managers, labels and bands that support us and whom we support right back.  So drop by this link:  http://www.thesoundfaction.com and check out what we’ve grown into, and who knows, you might just find some new music to love while you’re at it.
